We are searching for a strategic Manager, HR Service Center (HR Operations) and Employee Relations to oversee the day to day and strategic functions of corporate human resources, employee relations, and HR administration activities.

Responsibilities

The position will be responsible for the following:

  • Leads the Employee Relations team and conflict resolution both in the field and at the corporate office
  • Partners with Operations, Finance, Payroll and other functional areas as the primary corporate office HR leader
  • Cultural growth champion to build and maintain a positive work environment
  • Provides guidance, coaching and counseling to all teams for performance management processes
  • Partners closely with the legal department in managing and responding to all employee related correspondence.
  • Prepares documents and represent company for hearings or depositions
  • Manages the workflow of HR systems
  • Leads the unemployment claims strategy and process
  • Develops policies, documents processes, and moves to implementation
  • Compliance and associated reporting internally and to outside organizations/partners as necessary
  • Project and other activities as assigned
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to ensure quality and timeliness of HR services provided.
  • Serve as liaison between the field and support center to resolve issues and guide individuals to the best resource for the situation.

 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A track record of driving results by leveraging influence manage skills rather by mandate or authority.
  • High volume hourly workforce human resources experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
  • Ability to tailor communication style to suit the appropriate audience.
  • Excellent leadership skills in the human resources function to partner with all functional areas
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, plus labor, wage and hour laws, including EEOC, AA, ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills required; ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize is critical for success in a multi-state environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in understanding current federal and state laws pertaining to employment and harassment prevention programs.
  • Negotiating skills and experience resolving complex employee relations’ issues.
  • General knowledge of applicable Employment Law; California employment experience a plus
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to take initiative and “drive” for results
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Discretion in handling of confidential information
  • PHR certification is preferred
